SOLVED. History Fiction (I think) about a girl escaping an abusive home during WW2. [s]

I remember reading this book around 2018-2019, it’s about a girl with a clubbed foot and abusive mother who won’t let her leave their apartment/flat. She managed to escape because her younger brothers school was evacuating children to safer areas. Think they were in London.. I think the girls name started with an A too.. weird detail but I remember the brother was left handed.
