Sayer's Savior (Warriors of the Light #8) by A.J. Jarrett (Warriors of the Light #8) by AJ Jarrett
151 Pages

Once again I've read out of order so while I remember hearing Sayer's name, I didn't know his story. That didn't seem to matter all that much though. I loved him anyways. So scared and stubborn, yet totally broken. And poor Shane, just doing his job as a nurse and he gets kidnapped by the warriors on his way to his car. Thankfully it was a "nice" kidnapping since they needed him to look after Miles during the end of his pregnancy. Lots of fighting with the Dark Warriors and of course Sayer had to turn Shane after he was attacked which seems to be a theme in these books. I'll admit I'm really loving these guys. Now to backtrack to the ones I skipped.

5/24/15-5♥

I've read most of Linda Howard's books, but I do not remember any that quite compares. This book still has me smiling. Has Linda always been this funny?
This book was well written, has the suspense to keep it moving and has great characters. You just have to love Jaine and Sam! I still have to giggle over some of their scenes. I definitely recommend this book!

The Mark (The Mark, #1) by Jen Nadol

Finished: 25/05/15
Rated: 3 stars
Review: This book was intriguing. The characters were interesting and the plot was engaging. It wasn't one of the best things ever, but it got me thinking. What would I do if I knew someone was going to die? Would I tell him or not? It was interesting to see her dilema and how she tried to save some people but there were consequences. I liked the debates in her class that she enrolled in. In the begining I liked Lucas but when she told him her secret he changed and saw her only as an experiment. I liked the spin on greek mythology and the Fates.
Overall, I liked it and it was thought provoking.

Music of the Heart (Runaway Train, #1) by Katie Ashley

Date finished: 5/26/15
2 stars

I really found this book difficult to get through. It was very cheesy in parts, the main male character wasn't particularly likeable, and it was pretty much insta- love, which is bad enough in YA but when characters are in their 20's it's just plain unbelievable. Worst of all it was just plain boring. I gave it two instead of one star only because there were some scenes that made me smile and one that I got a bit teary reading, but unfortunately these scenes were rare.

This book is not for serious readers. The plot (if there was one) is unbelievable but it just work for me. I love the absolutely silliness of this story. Will it win awards? No. Was I entertained? Yes. At the end of the day you will have to decide not give f---.(4 stars)

I'm not even reading these in order anymore. I just find the people I want to read about next and pick that book. That just ain't right but I don't care. I'm loving the shifter books in this series the bestest so I keep going to those. Preston pissed me off in this one a little bit. Masking your mating scent is just plain rude! But the sex when he let it loose was delicious so I'll forgive him. Hot smexing and mush loves, me likey!

Full Throttle (Fast Track, #7) by Erin McCarthy by Erin McCarthy
6/1/15-3♥

The Fast Track Series has had winners and some just okay books. This book had real potential, but the author missed on a few things for me to rate it higher than a 3.
Let me start with what I thought the book had going for it: Great characters, as I liked both Rhett and Shawn. I remember when I first read about Rhett, that I thought he would make a good and interesting leading man and he did. I honestly did not remember Shawn from any of the earlier books. I enjoyed the scenes with Rhett's big family and it was fun to catch up on Eve and Nolan.
Where the book missed: The storyline seemed to be just taking off and then the book was over. It should have gone more into them as a couple and working on improving the Track. Also, it was very disappointing to hear they were inviting some of my past favorite characters to the wedding, like the Monroe brothers and yet nothing was even mentioned about them during the party
With a few tweaks here and there, this book had the potential to be as good as the first book in the series, which still is my favorite.

Emma (M) Hi All, I'm back from my holidays so will be able to collate reviews and roll this week. Thanks to Shannon for taking over the last two weeks, much appreciated.

The roll for next week will be the last for this challenge and unless we are unfortunate and roll a 2 or 3 we are in the running to win. The winners will be the team that rolls past 100 and finishes first. This means we need to submit our reviews for our chosen books as soon as we can next week. I am off work at the time of next week's roll so will make sure to have it done as soon the clock ticks over so we can start reading ASAP.

Option: 9th in series (Immortals After dark)

Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark, #9) by Kresley Cole Pleasure of a Dark Prince

Rating: 4 stars

Pleasure of a Dark Prince is a reread for me. It's number nine in the Immortals After Dark series which I absolutely love and is most definately of the PNR genre. The author Kresley Cole managed to infuse a lot of laughs into this one by using a couple of side characters as comedic foils for the more serious main female character Lucia. I also love all the Scottish Lykae brothers that feature in her series and Garreth was no exception - very much the hot alpha male who made his females toes curl with a sexy Scottish accent ;) I also really enjoyed the setting of this story in the Amazon, it was something a bit different and I could really feel the atmosphere of being on a boat navigating the waters of this jungle river.

Review: I have had this book on my shelf for as long as I remember and I always put off reading it. Now Im glad I did because I really liked it. It was fun and the characters were interesting. Collin reminded me a little of Dexter (from the cartoon, not the tv show) with his way of thinking. I am glad that he didnt find another Katherine.
Overall, it was a fun quick read and the plot was interesting.

That was a really cool book. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much. Filled with warriors and berserkrs and gods and a twink. My fav! This was based on the Norse gods so I wasn't as familiar with them but it was all explained and easy to follow. The love story itself was super sweet and no angst included. Sadly, I didn't want to it end yet. I wanted to see the baby and their new home. Maybe in the next book.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. I love Disney and it was really interesting to see what had happened with all my favorite characters. The things I enjoyed the most were all the references and their classes like Selfie 101 with Mother Gothel. I liked the characters and I am happy that they all became 'friends' at the end. I cant wait for the movie and the nexzt book.

Wow this book was definitely filled with emotions! The author did a wonderful job of writing the main characters feelings. I definitely wanted to know how the main character would go on after losing someone within days of their marriage. Definitely want to read more from this author.
