Week 4 - 2nd in series.

I really enjoyed this book. I had too much time on my hands and finished it rather quickly. It has been awhile since I have done that. Hoping I can pick up Tris' story again in the 3rd book on Friday.

Archangel's Kiss is the second in the Guild Hunter Series. Elena is a newly made angel, after being saved from certain death by her lover Archangel Raphael. Weak, and a target on her back due to her unique nature and her relationship with Raphael, Elena must traverse her new life filled with vampires, angels and the a new threat...the "reborn".
Although this series has a great premise, it has a large amount of explicit sex which does not leave the author room for developing the characters as much as could be. I would have liked to know more of the characters and subplots in the story and less of the bedroom scenes.
I probably won't continue with the series...there are too many great books out there calling me!
Week 4 - 2nd in a series - 3 Stars - 4/13/15Storm of Shadows (The Chosen Ones #2) by Christina Dodd
Rating: 3 Stars Having not read the first book in this series I was surprised to be able to follow and enjoy this book. Even though the overall story arc started in the first book I was able to figure out what was going on and follow very easily. The story itself was pretty interesting and kept my interest till the very last page. The only reason I gave it a 3 star instead of 4 was because I don't really like the clueless, innocent, bookish type heroines. I like my heroines mouth and kick-ass but of course this just my preference.
Week Four: Fair Play3.5 stars, 4/15/15
I really like Tucker and Elliot and was happy to see how their relationship is evolving. I didn't enjoy this as much as the first book and really wish I had more scenes with them together. I did enjoy learning about Elliot's dad and his past and how the mystery component unfolded. I just needed a little more character connection.

I'm usually a little scared of Merrow's books, the writing is usually too British to my poor English LOL. since she wrote one of my fave and first mm book I read, I wanted to read Played! and now I'm wondering where is the first one in the series??!?!?! i need it right now. This book was amazing, it made me laugh so much, just when I need it.

Steph is usually good about posting on time, hopefully everything is alright. I know Stella is probably in bed. If anyone is around and wants to use the pass you can. Steph does still have 3 hours more but I don't expect anyone to stay up checking either.

If you want to use the pass to roll, just roll the dice and post it here. Stella will take care of the tracking post and post your spot stuff tomorrow. If you're gonna be up for a bit and would like to give Steph some more time to post you can. It's 2 1/2 hours till midnight right now. If you'd raher just go ahead and roll that's cool too :)

I really loved Damon in this story, and I think the story overall would have been better if it just focused on Damon. Damon's reactions and feelings were so real that my heart was continuously breaking for him. I could have read about him and his friends forever.
I wasn't as sold on the love story, but that's ok. I also love Mark and Zane, but I think that story line was a distraction and not really connected.
