anna near (annanear) | 129 comments id def recommend a stand-alone to start off, as series can be so hard to get into. to kill a kingdom by alexandra christo is a fantasy romance thats basically a enemies to lovers version of the little mermaid. sorcery of thorns by margaret rogerson is also really good and the worldbuilding and politics aren't too heavy :)

Kat Bevington | 1 comments I am new to fantasy this year. I read the court of thornes and roses series and have discovered a new world of books. Would definitely recommend them as a good start. Have also cruel prince and Stephanie Garber since as mentioned above and they're great too.
