Nirkatze | 21203 comments Thank you!

Note: This is two novellas set in the Inheritance Cycle universe:
Shades in Shadow (a triptych of short stories that take place woven between the three novels)
The Awakened Kingdom (a sequel to the series.)

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Seems like there's not true chapters in The Awakened Kingdom, but Audible breaks things down into chapters.. Anyway I'm almost done with "Chapter" 2 (view spoiler)

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments And finished "Chapter" 2 (view spoiler)

Nirkatze | 21203 comments I'll probably read Shades in Shadow first, and then the novella. Be along by the end of the week!

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Finished with Awakened! (view spoiler)

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments Read Shades in Shadow... It was okay. The stories were a bit too short for me to get much out of them I think.

Yeah, I like how the author describes them as a "tryptic" though--it gives the feel of a series of snapshots, rather than true stories.

Nirkatze | 21203 comments Read the first Tryptic of Shades in Shadow... (view spoiler)

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments I didn't think so... I don't think enough time had passed. Seemed early in "The Bright" (which lasted at least 1000 years? Or was it 10000?)

Nirkatze | 21203 comments Good point... don't remember the time frame exactly, but definitely too short. Will try to read a bit more this week, but having trouble finding time for eye reads the past few days...

Tonari no Emily (emlfem) | 5115 comments No worries! I know you're back to school season now, take your time. I'll be here! And I think Choko needs to stop by here at some point :)

Nirkatze | 21203 comments LOL Yeah! Thank you. I'm in good company. ^^
