Mandi Ed | 6 comments Speculative Fiction / Science Fiction - Raffle or Lottery tickets being purchased by general public, they have a draw where each number represents a world leader and there is a monetary prize for the next leader to pass away/die, also involves a voice changing machine. I think the cover was green and read part of it back at least over 8 years ago.

Main Character male, Lover named Amanda and it is implied he also has had relations with his male butler.

Amanda is a one night stand at the beginning of the book if I recall and becomes his companion and accomplice in their plans.

The raffle/lottery tickets are purchased as numbers only with no meaning until they are later assigned.

They come to find out about an assasination plot for a world leader politician where there is a plan to use a voice changing machine to impersonate this world leader

They attend a party when the numbers are assigned and later purchase the numbers assigned to this world leader on the black market as seller is not aware of assasination plot.

I never finished the book/story so do not know what happens.

Mandi Ed | 6 comments @lobstergirl I have indicated it as Speculative Fiction/Science Fiction. I cannot manage to edit here on my phone to more clearly indicate FICTION. I will keep trying, thanks

Mandi Ed | 6 comments @Kris, I had read it sometime between 2008 and 2015. I get most of my books from used book stores and book exchanges so it's likely older than that.
