Darlene Bilawski | 4 comments Science fiction book short story or novella. I think it is a older science fiction book. The double helix of DNA was discovered in 1953 so I think this book is from 1960's or later. In the story people on a planet discover DNA and then find that the people's DNA is different from the animals and plants of the planet. This means they are colonizers of this planet. The people have no memory of every colonizing the planet. I asked chatgpt and it said Poul Anderson wrote a novella called Code for Crown Jewel in his Terran Empire universe. Also something about New Europe. But chatgpt admits that is incorrect as Poul Anderson did not write this. I think the title or authors name starts with an E. Erin? I read the back of a book in a library about 10 years ago but didn't take the book out. I really regret it and I have been looking for this book for years. I am not a writer but perhaps a writer could write this book. Is there a way to suggest this to a writer. Have you read something similar and can make a suggestion.
