The protagonist saw how a man was shot in the head by a mafia boss, I think. That is why she is undercover as a techer in the village´s school, which is the job the Witness Protection Program gave to her. I believe she used to live in a big city.
She meets the male protagonist who is the owner of a huge ranch. He is quiet, huge, not very handsome and serious but soft with her.
