Picture book about two mice named Patrick and Samantha

My mother in law is trying to find a book she read to her kids when they were little. It is a picture book and would have been published no later than the early 1990s. The main characters were two mice named Patrick and Samantha.

Unfortunately, she doesn't remember any other details, so I know it's little to go on, but I'm hoping the hive kind can help!

seems like there are a few picture books by Ellen Stoll Walsh about mice, one book even has the title "Samantha" and they are from the 90s

could it be one of them?

Samantha was the first one that came to my mind, but none of the other mice are named. I'll have to look at her others and see if there are names there.
