I finished
last night. I'm assuming we'll be using it for Y, but I'll post the other options later. I left my little piece of paper somewhere. :) Yes, I have a highly technical way of approaching this challenge - pencil scratchings on tiny scraps of paper that I am constantly losing. Book - The Year Of The Virgins by Catherine Cookson - 272 pages - 3 stars
Colour - BABYPOWDER
B - character - Bill White
A - character - Annette Allison
Y - title
P - character - Peggie
W - character - Winifred Coulson

R - character - Father Ramshaw
I've been reading over my estimate these last two weeks, but I will be under for the next two weeks for sure. That's why it is called an estimate. :DThey seem to have dissolved a whole team and reallocated them to other stones. Kind of weird for the first week but oh well. Just keep reading everyone, that's all we can do.
I finished
but need to double check that I didn't miss any letters. Will update after work. Also, I should finish
today. It's great so far!
Okay this is freaky, I was just checking our tracking sheet and someone was updating it as I looked - words appearing as if by magic. :) Maybe there are ghosts in my computer. Also, I edited my The Year Of The Virgins book, there is a B character if we want to use it to finish out the spell.
Lol, it was me Allison. I updated it and added in our official spreadsheet. We are doing well. I'm working on a B Character now but if someone finishes a book that fits it before I do I'll use their book. :)Allison Ann, I think it's best if we use your book for Y in Spell out 3.
Okay, I'm off to read!
Since it is April Fools and not Hallowe'en, I didn't really think it was a ghost. ;)I need an O title for another challenge, so I've been trying to find one to read this week. All the ones I haven't read yet from my library seem to be in the middle of series I haven't started. I hate reading out of order.
Finished
. I loved it! I need to write a review for a different challenge now. B - Author: Anne Barrows

Now onward to our third spell out of Baby Powder!
(I'm hoping to finish NOS4A2 tonight. I'm really enjoying it. I had to stop reading it to finish The discovery of chocolate--which is another neat book.)
Insomnia is good for reading terrible books, at least you don't have to get up to find another book, so you finish. This is a white cover too, if we still need it.

I have my next BotM DQs due on the 4th. That will be another 20 points for DQs.Woohoo! Go Ruby! I worked all day but I'm home for the rest of the night and I'm plan to read.
Have a good evening everyone. :)
We are doing great again. Way to read Rubies! I'm kind of hoping we get MAIZE soon because I've got a couple of Z books I'd love to read.
Just finished another book.Title - Above the Bridge by Deborah Garner with 240 pages.

This book didn't do it for me. It was overly descriptive and nothing really happened for the first 1/3 of the book.

Author: Gaston Leroux
Pages: 360
A: character-Armand
P: title-Phantom

I did not feel that it was cheating to list Opera Ghost as a character because he is referred to as "the Phantom," "Opera Ghost," and "Erik" interchangeably thoughout the novel.
I will finish one more book before the end of the week which is good for B,A,P,W,D,E,or R.
Awesome Job Cheryl, Diane, & Allison Ann! I updated the spreadsheets. We have 355 points! Only O & W left in this third spell out of baby powder. :)

I've updated spreadsheet and looked at bookshelves. :) We are doing awesome. I plan on finishing three books by tomorrow night and the BotM DQs.I have plenty of books that will work for Licorice.
I will be reading a non-fiction book again this week. It will only work for either "E" or "C." Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony A Friendship That Changed the World by Penny Coleman. My second book will work for "L," "I," or "O." Of Love and Shadows by Isabel Allende.
I will read Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, which may only be an "O" or a "C." It is difficult with shorter words that are mostly vowels!
My many Agatha Christies will help us cover the 2 C's. I'm sorry I can't finish anything tonight. Just popping in on a break to say hi and happy reading!Rachel thanks for all of your hard work with the spreadsheets and shelves. You are great.
Guess we can't quite finish a fourth spelling of BABYPOWDER? I've got one to post now and could finish one more by tonight, but maybe I'll just read ahead in some LICORICE books instead. I'm going to go over all of them in a few hours and double check the shelves to make sure we have everything correct and that the number pages match with the books in the shelves. :)
