Nominations Open for New Series to Start August 1, 2023

I’ll get things rolling with The Numina Trilogy by Charlie N. Holmberg, 3 books starting with Smoke & Summons. I have heard good things about this author but haven’t read anything by her yet. This might be a good place to start.

Some prequel novels and novellas are also set in this world, but they take place in a completely different time period and location, with entirely different characters.
I am only nominating this as a duology (the two books mentioned above).
I've heard excellent things about both Lois Mcmaster Bujold and this series, and have been wanting to read this author for a while.

Nominations are closed and we have some great series from which to choose! The preliminary poll to narrow the options to the top two is now open and will remain open through Saturday, June 10. We will then have a final poll to choose the series to start August 1.

Our group read and discussion for this series will start on August 1, 2023.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Rules for nominating a series:
1. The series must be complete (as far as we can reasonably tell).
2. The series must be fantasy (I know, seems obvious).
3. The series should not be targeted mainly for middle school or a YA audience.
4. The series must not be one the group has already read. Look through the list of discussions or the group bookshelf to see if we’ve read it before.
5. Each member may nominate one series. Please tell us the name of the series, the author, how many books are in the series, and the name of first book in the series. If you want to add more information, please feel free.
6. Nominations no longer need a second to move into the polling as long as they meet the other guidelines.
8. Nominations will be open through June 4. We will then have a poll. If there are a lot of nominations or the results are close, we will have a run-off poll between or among the top vote-getters.
Nominations are open! Let’s go!
