Mortem manner
A little girl with hair as long as she was tall watched from the roof of one of these houses. Her jaw dropped and she turned into a little white cat, pouncing down to get closer to the portal, to watch it. On the ground, she turned into a fluffy white wolf cub, sitting behind a barrel and peering curiously out at it.
Olivia walked out of the portal near the low side of a mountain on the outskirts of the town. Olivia took the statue out of her pocket and made it a bit bigger to look over her work.
Aishling's bright green eyes widened as the pretty girl stepped through, and as she made a giant gold statue out of nothing. While she thought she couldn't be seen, she ran over and started sniffing the feet of the statue quietly, because this was exciting! Her little tail thudded against Olivia's legs on accident.
Olivia quickly turned and nearly screamed. She quickly cast a spell "Petrify Marbicus!" To turn the small wolf into a marble statue so it couldn't attack her.
Aisling turned her bright eyes onto the shouting lady, and backpedaled quickly, but not quickly enough. Terror beset the child and she let out a painful howl as she turned from a cute little puppy to a cute, hard marble statue, still pure white. The eyes remained startlingly green.
Olivia slipped and fell over, looking at the pup who then turned to marble. She looked over the marble wolf and realized, the pup wasn't really wanting to hurt her, it was just curious. In fact it was kinda cute, and even more cute now. She looked it over, and decided on it. She'd make this wolf her pet! She then reversed the spell on the wolf.
(Mind if she tries to run as being petrified was a tad scary but then Olivia will freeze her and then cast the spell that creates the pet-master link?)

((Sure!))Aisling finished her terrified howl, then realized that she wasn't frozen in that horrible state of being alive, but blind and deaf, and suffocating. Mad with fear, the girl raced the other way, back towards the little town. If she could get somewhere and turn into a cat, or a bird, she'd be safe from this mean person.
(Just to note the statues don't suffocate, but it could feel as such as they can't breathe but that has to do with her lungs being stone as well.)
Before the little wolf could get far though, Olivia cast a spell on her. "Pocto Rigidis!" The spell was a freeze spell.

Aisling screamed -well, yipped- again, and froze solid, panting for air. Off balance, she found herself on her side, only able to see a wall.
Olivia walked over to her and picked her up, and started to pet her. "Your so cute. I think I'll make you my little pet, and I know just the way to do it!"
(I'll leave a little opening here if you want to have her react mentally.)

Aisling wanted to kick or bite or claw, anything and everything, just to escape. She heaved a heavier breath, which vibrated her vocal chords, resulting in a whimper. She could get away still. She'd just turn into a bird when the lady wasn't watching, and when she could move again. She'd fly away!
(I'm thinking she doesn't totally get that she can't move no matter what form she's in?)
Olivia smiled and cast the spell, linking the wolf to her as her master and the wolf Olivia's pet. She then unfroze the wolf.

(("She'd just turn into a bird when the lady wasn't watching, and when she could move again."))Aisling ran the instant she was 'freed', but found herself magically confined to a ring of about twenty feet from Olivia, a constraint when she couldn't pass without permission. She'd have to obey Olivia completely now, and that would suck. Aisling kept trying to get away, but it was almost painful, each attempt.
"Come here little wolf, I won't hurt you. I'm sorry for petrifying you before. You just spooked me." She told the wolf, assuming the wolf didn't completely understand what she was saying.
(I was thinking that over time the spell makes her like being Olivia's pet and want to please her master like a pet does.)

((Hm... Sounds good!))Aisling found her feet plodding over towards Olivia easily. Her heart pounded in her chest. What was wrong with her? She was supposed to be escaping! Aisling ducked and laid down on her stomach, her ears flat against her head as she looked up at this horrible lady who had hurt her and scared her, just for touching her foot.
(How about it's like everytime she pets her, the spell makes her more wanting to be a good pet?)
Olivia pet her head and then tried to pick her up.
Olivia pet her head and then tried to pick her up.
She flattened further, as if to avoid the hand, but ended up rubbing her muzzle into it, hating herself for it. But why? It felt good, being petted. She almost didn't mind, when she was picked up. Almost. Aisling remembered her wild side and kicked out at the air, whining and yipping, but reluctant to scratch or bite this pretty lady.
"Don't worry, your safe with me." She held the wolf in a tender comforting position. "Just feel it, feel how safe you are. You don't need to hunt if you don't want to, or fight of other animals or anything, you'll love being my pet!" She told her, while petting her again.
(It way past my bedtime, so night!)
(It way past my bedtime, so night!)
((Night!))Aisling went limp, but felt that constant sense of petrified worry. She couldn't fight! She couldn't protest! All she could do was growl in comfort and cuddle happily. She felt no desire to hunt or fight, and she felt safe, as safe as a bird in its cage. She whimpered and cuddled closer. Would she really love it? Or would she just think she liked it? The complacency totally took over all ability she might have had to shift.
"Good little pet. Now I have to take this statue into town to sell it, wanna come along?" She offered.
(Sorry, it didn't update me either either.)
She walked into town and started towards a store that bought gold and statues.
(Anyone want to play the store owner as an NPC?)

The shop keeper opened his eyes lazingly then seeing the statue blinked twice and smiled "Well hello young lady, what brought you to me humble shop?" He asked
The pup was nearly dragged in by the magic, and finally just curled up by Olivia's feet, pouting, and wanting to bite them.
He blinked "I ummm I guess I do, does 30000 dollars sound good?" He asked offering his life savings
(Ah, I'm guessing this whole 'being a pet' thing is quite new to your char, how does she feel about it so far?)
He nodded and got out the money, he would make a lot more from this and handed the money over "Thank you for buissness" He said about to take the statue
Olivia let him take the statue, and began to head out. "Come on my cute pup" she mentioned to her pet. "Now, I should name you... But what should I name you?"

( should we keep this here or have another spot for the town?)
