Mortem manner
((Yeah, and maybe she thinks the writing looks kinda like Aisling and chooses a similar name, for the sake of realisticism?))Aisling barked in frustration as she was torn from her efforts and kicked, squirming. She yipped.
Olivia saw the writing which to her looked like some scrambled letters, but it gave her an idea for a name, "What do you think of Aisling?" she asked the pup.
She smiled at the pup. "Aisling it is! But now I should get a little leash for you..." She went into a pet stop in the town and got the supplies she needed, and soon was heading back to the portal. "Come on Aisling, its time to go to your new home."
Aisling whined and kept as far away from Olivia as possible. Ropes and collars? No way. Dog kibble? Ew. She had to get away!
(So how long do you want Aisling to be stuck as a pet? [i was thinking perhaps a few weeks, which would get her "accustomed" to the pet life and then Olivia'd find that she's actually a human girl that can shapeshift.)
((I thought a few days, until Aisling manages to break free a little bit, because she's not fully a dog, and shapeshift into a cat or a bird in front of Olivia, to try to give her a hint.
(But still kinda start to like being a pet but also wants her freedom back some?
Although, changing into a human is what would surprise Olivia the most, as she'd think another animal was just a shapeshifting spell.)

((Well, being a pet entitles being an animal, so she'll find shifting to a human far harder under the spell. Thus, she'll try anything to get the spell removed. She likes being a pet, but hates it at the same time. It's not in her nature to be confined.))
(Not exactly, but usually.
But the main thing I'm thinking is that she'll have time to actually like Olivia and be more understanding why she petrified her before that's revealed.)

Megamanlan wrote: ""What's wrong Aisling?" She asked, wondering what was up with her pet."Aisling barked and chewed on the bag with the stuff in it. No way! Nopenopenope!
But this to Olivia just looked like she was just being silly, "understanding pets is so confusing..."
Aisling barked and yipped, whining in frustration as she threw her tiny puppy body to the ground. This girl was confusing! Who could understand her?
She was now more confused. "Okay, just bark if you don't want something." She pulled a leash out of the bag.
She frowned, unsure about that one. She might get bored with this lady, who would probably lock her in a kennel, and she might want something to play with. Her tail wagged a little and she stayed silent.
(I'm guessing she doesn't like bones?)
"Okay, let's try this," she pulled another dog toy out that she thought she heard the puppy whining for.
(You can choose what toy it is, because I'm still trying to think of ideas for more toys.)

((Nope!))It was a rag doll chew toy, but it was cute and fluffy and a soft little fox animal. The puppy dove at it to hug it and hold it, because it was just so adorable!
"It seems you like that one." She mentioned. She pulled a meat-filled treat from the bag. "What about this?"
She sniffed it, then gave it a lick. Ew! Little girls did not like dog food, not even dog treats. She pulled a face and barked.
"Okay, so what about these?" She pulled out some snacks that animals and dogs can eat, mainly including meats like bacon and other things that were tasty.
She smelled them, and looked like she was gonna gag. But, deciding that she wouldn't be fed anything other than gross stuff, she figured it was the lesser of two evils. She whined unhappily and curled up on the ground.
((No, but she's a kid. She mainly steals 'good' food, like waffles or hamburgers or things that people eat, not dog jerky or the bacon dog strips.))
((Yup!))Alisha pointed her nose at a taco stand, but she still couldn't leave the designated ring of containment.
"Some pup likes to be pampered does she?" She pet the young wolf, not knowing it was really a young girl.
She walked closer and closer to the tacos, trying to get enough space to write human in the dirt, without being pulled away.
But before she could attempt to write it, Olivia picked her up. "Don't worry, I'll take very good care of you." She smiled and pet her in her hands.
(I think part of her likes that though, right?)
Olivia thought that she liked it. "You like that don't you?" She continued to do so.

Olivia could tell that she enjoyed it, but it was almost time to head home or her father would wonder where she is. So she stopped rubbing and put her down as the portal opened again. "Come on, I'll show you your new home."

Olivia turned to she why she growled, but the pup just seemed to be pawing at the ground, she just looked confused and picked her up and pet her some. "Your so cute, I bet you'll be a very good pet."
