Looking for recs wherein one character is closed off but brave and the other is outgoing and intelligent

Basically I got tired of seeing "The Love Hypothesis" ads on Goodreads and sometimes you have to do something yourself. Or read something someone else wrote, at least.
So looking for a romance or book with a romance subplot where the gal is brave, abrasive, and closed-off with trauma while the guy is outgoing and intelligent with trauma.
