I am trying to find a book but I am not able to remember the title or the author's name.

I believe that it may take place during resolution war. The hero and heroine have a good relationship until a lie about her is keeping them apart. The hero is a masked man. There was another man(the villain),who wanted the heroine but she married the hero. She has a younger brother. She had/has a a friend who fancied the villain but sadly he used her.
