Steph (angel4492) | 32745 comments Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo!

Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Do we want to pick a team name? My boyfriend suggested The Magnificent 7, which I actually really liked. What do you guys think?

This book was set in New Orleans and I am of the Cajun heritage so I was automatically intrigued. There is a serial killer loose murdering women throughout the city. The MC is a witch who can see "shadows" and some of the spirits of the girls come to her for help so she becomes part of the investigation by the authorities.

This book wasn't terrible but it didn't knock my socks off either. I didn't care for the instant love between the MC and the male lead. There was very minimal explanations why there was an instant connection and it was something about past lives. Wish they would have touched more on that instead of just in passing. The murder mystery aspect of it was pretty interesting and very creepy. Do not read at night alone lol The ending was a nice wrap up except for a little cliffhanger in the very last chapter. I probably won't be reading the other books in this series though. There's more books out there than I'll ever have time to get to in this lifetime and I'd rather not waste my time on reading books that are just meh.

Its been a while since I last delved in to Thea harrison's Elder races world so I was looking forward to finally starting this particular trilogy as its been on my list for a while. I was immediately drawn to MC Sophie Ross and intrigued to know know more about her. I liked the story of the Dark Fae though i may have been too long away as I struggled to fit the story into the context of the rest of the world and series. That being said i still immensely enjoyed reading this story and didn't really put it down from beginning to end. I was pretty much ready to pick up book 2 as soon as I finished. The only slight disappointment I ahd was wamting to know more about Sophie's past and parents. We get some titbits but no real answer and while it didn't hinder the main story being told, nosy me does secretly hope we learn more about it in subsequent books even if thos books are about other couples. Defintely can't wait to continue reading this series,

Review: It's been ages since I've read anything in this series, but as soon as I started this one I was right back in there with Harry and the gang. This one has Harry has falling in love while also trying to save Chicago from some kind of weird demon who's attacking people in their dreams as well as crazy ghosts. Oh, and there's the vicious Vampire court to deal with as well. One of the things I really love about Harry is how he's not all-powerful all the time. He has to really dig deep into himself to keep fighting, even when the odds feel completely against him. But the character that really steals the show for me is Michael, the Knight. He's so perfectly good and he has this awesome faith that Harry is a good guy, no matter what. Reading this reminded me how much I love this series, so I'm definitely going to be reading more of the series this year.

Review: This is the next book in the series, since I absolutely had to find out what happened next! In this one, Janet's friend Ansel, who is also a Nightwalker aka vampire, is all of a sudden under attack from vampire slayers. This is the start of the next mystery/adventure. Slayers start coming out of the woodwork, crossbows flying, vowing to collect the bounty. We meet up with Drake and Colby again, along with some very vicious mages, all looking for some mysterious artifact. There's a missing woman, "love games" between Coyote and his ex-wife, and a runaway Harley. The story is highly entertaining and kept me glued to the pages until the very end. I know I'm going to finish this series this year for sure.

This book is actually two books in one. The first and largest part is of a dragon shifter who finds a female warrior injured and nurses her back to health with the help of his sister. The second smaller part is of said dragon's mother and father's stories centuries before.

I really liked Fearghus and Annwyl's story. There was lots of cute banter and giggle worthy moments. I really liked the comfort and love Annwyl felt in the dragon's presence. It was a cute and fun story with some battle and mystery in there too. My only gripe is that it wrapped up too quickly. I felt that the author rushed to finish and left a lot of plot holes that way.

The mother and father's story I did not like at all. It was very lack of consent and sexual pushiness from the male MC. I get it was supposed to be sexy and leading up to them falling for each other but that type of "woman says no over and over and man just does what he wants regardless" a major turnoff.

I can say after the second part of this book I won't be reading the rest in the series. It put that bad of taste in my mouth toward the author. I give it three stars due to enjoying the first part of the book.

Review: Sadly I accidentally and listened to the first chapter of the book after this one before realising I had opened the wrong book so I kinda had the main twists spoiled for me before I had even started the book. That being said, I still enjoyed this book in that we got to find out more about Saber and Zak and what had really happened that night when they were teens and i loved that we got to see the Claw and Hammer, Tori, Aaron and all our friends from previous books in the Guild codex universe. So much happened in this book with lots of plots upon plots which occasionally left me a little confused and as I said when the final shocking twists came... well I kinda already knew about them so while i still enjoyed journey, I wasn't able to appreciate the last few chapters as a should have. Still it didn't stop me from picking up the next book almost as soon as I closed this one and onward I go to finish the series.

This book was a Contemporary Romance. MC Dylan attends her ex-boyfriend's wedding and accidentally falls into the lap of Reese. A VERY steamy tryst incuse and they continue seeing each other.

It's been a while since I've read a CR and I gotta say... it doesn't quite pique my interest like it used to. The love scenes were enjoyable enough, but eventually you start to feel "Okay can I just skip through this and get to the story???"

Everyone knows when you're reading a CR that the MCs are going to wind up together in the end. It's more about the enjoyment of the journey to said ending. Sweet Addiction had some enjoyable moments but it just kind of felt flat sometimes. It seemed that the characters lacked depth and a lot of the time emotional maturity.

It had been on my Want To Read for quite some time and I'm glad I got around to it, but I can for sure say I won't be reading anymore of this author's books.

Review:
I loved this book. I thought it was a great conclusion to this particular series and I was so glad it was so involved in the rest of the world and characters from other series as it just made it so much more fun. I liked the resolution that Saber got for her character and with those around her. There was a lot going on in this book so i struggled to keep u with a couple of the threads but overall this was a read in one sitting kinda book and I really hope we get to see Saber again and other books in the guild codex universe

Cheri | 467 comments Alicia, I think we've played together a long time ago. We're already friends on GR. That's the only reason I can think why.

If y'all want to know a little about me I'm 36 and live in Texas. I'm a nurse and work in surgery. I have a hunky husband and a hoard of animals. One big ole dumb but lovable dog and three inside kitties and one outside kitty. I've been a reader since I was a child. Books are some of my earliest positive memories. I used to love a paperback book mostly, but as I've gotten older these eyes can't see as well so I tend to use my kindle because you can change the font and screen brightness. I also looove to audiobook. Sitting down with an audiobook and a diamond art painting... perfection lol I'm really enjoying playing with y'all! Everyone seems to be keeping on top of things and I'm really loving reading the reviews! Keep up the good work team!
