SOLVED. Middle grade/ YA realistic fiction book about a 17yo girl whose mom disappears, so she has to go live with her older sister in the suburbs. [s]

I probably read this sometime between 2011-2014. The girl's sister had been trying to conceive for a while without success but ended up pregnant at the end of the book. Her husband was also working on building a pond in his yard. They find out at the end that their mom was in rehab the whole time because she relapsed and was doing drugs. At some point, an old friend of hers comes asking for help about something and she suggests Vaseline.
