Mary Grace Wong | 3 comments I've been looking for this book forever that I read in 2012-2014! It's a book about a teenage girl (or early 20s) who ends up inheriting a house from either a distant aunt or grandmother or great-grandmother (can't quite remember). Not sure if the girl actually inherits the house, or the family ends up inheriting it and moves in together (more likely the latter). House is dusty and in need of a cleanup when she arrives, so she helps tidy the place up. She ends up finding love letters from the distant aunt or grandmother's relationship in the attic, probably in some sort of chest. I believe there's also a love interest for the teenage girl who lives in the neighbourhood (a teenage boy). She learns a lot about this aunt and her family through these letters. Possible genres include mystery or romance!

The cover was pretty simple, black and dark red with a single item on the front of the cover. It may have been some sort of chest, or a stack of books. The item I think is on a hardwood floor.

I read this book as part of my elementary book club/reading challenge when I was in grade 7 or 8, not sure if anyone read the same book! If you have any clues to what this book is, please let me know!
