Tween Fantasy about a girl who is trying to save her town from a certain evil coming over it (spoilers ahead in comments)

This is a book I believe I read anywhere around 2015-2018. It was a fantasy type book for tweens, and I think believe I remember the main character being a girl anywhere between the ages of 13-15. This book was apart of a series, but all I can really remember is a bunch of classmates having to go through this door which lead to another kind of dimension (they may have been captured), where the evil was, and the main character was told that she needed to prick herself and give them her blood to complete a ritual. A boy in the story who had been previously seen as not really getting along with her was defending her as well, and trying to do it himself instead.
