Hi Ashley. Double check the books needed for the roadblocks. We moved Trisha's book to Intersection as I am also reading The House in the Pines and BR with Trish.Looks like we need to find another I book for the second roadbock. If someone can read another book on the Good vs. Evil list I could move Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin to the I position. That's a quick read.
Are you talking about Amanda's? She did not participate in the BR for The House in the Pines, so we can't use her's for the Intersection task
I have posted my review for The House in the pines and will now start on my Detour book.

I so I forgot that today is another insanely busy day, and I won’t be home until 3 am. 😂. We are traveling to NY to see a concert. I likely can review some of my books if someone can post for me. And If you need me to read another book for detour let me know. :)

6. Read a book that has a title ending with a letter in ITALY
7. Read a book from an author that is from or currently lives in Italy
8. Read a book that has been tagged 'Mediterranean' at least 10 times
9. Read a book with the word 'ITALIAN' found in text (pg/% & quote)
10. Read a book that is set in a large city
11. Read a book where the title has the letters L, A, T, I, N in it (in any order)
12. Read a book where the author's first and last initial are in ITALIC
13. Read a book where the main characters first name starts with a letter in ROME
14. Read a book that has Historical Fiction for an MPG
15. Read a book where the series title has the letters E, U, R, O in it (in any order)
Detours: This will be a list related task. Teams will have two lists to choose from and will need to read 5 books from one list. Roadblocks: This will be a spell-out task. Each team will get the same word. It can be completed as many times as you can. Intersections: This will be a buddy read related task. Meaning you will have to work with someone new (whether on your team or another) and read a book together. The buddy can also be someone in the group but not participating in the challenge. You will need to have at least 4-5 comments per buddy read.Read a book with someone new within the group. BOTM can also count for this task. This can be repeatable.
U-Turns: Just like the yield task, each team will have up to 3 U-turn opportunities (once per month). After the task has been revealed and read for, the team will then decide who to use their 'U-turn' against. Speed Bumps: After check-in day, if your team was randomly selected for last place, you will have this task to complete. It will be a super easy task that one person can complete. For example, 'Red hair on cover (any book edition will count)' or 'Published in January (any year)'.Read a book with food on the cover
Switchback: This will also be revealed after check-in days and will be a task related to where the team was previously.

I'm almost done with my intersection book.I read a book on the Good vs. Evil list that also works for I if it's easier for someone to read a book off that list.
I agree we should use the U-turn against the Shadow Sprinters.

Winners were chosen via list randomizer and bonus points were decided in a wheel decide (other options were - 20,10,0; 30,15,5; 20,10,5).
Bonus points will be added in your next score update. Points are awarded for the whole team - not individually. Also, tasks for Speed Bumps and Switchback will be revealed tomorrow.
