Review: I liked both Jack and Oz. I was dizzy with the back and forth at the beginning, and with Oz being portrayed as completely useless. It eventually got better once they decided to give in to their feelings, they had a lot of chemistry. The second part of the book was more angsty and the mystery of Jack’s past is resolved. I loved Oz’s dog Boo and all their friends and secondary characters.

I think I liked this one more than the first, though since I am terrible at reading the precis I figured this was a continuation of the same couple - it's not, it is a new couple. I liked how they worked together and believed their attraction even though this book was even shorter than the last. Sweet ending too. Well narrated by Evan Parker and J.F. Harding.

I didn't like this book at all at the beginning. Erin really got on my nerves. She started off really air-headed. Tim wasn't my favorite character either. I read a lot of hockey romance series and this one just didn't keep me interested. It was okay and I gave it a 2 but it came really close to a DNF in the first few chapters but I muddled through. I'm not sure if I'll read anymore of this series. I may hold it for weird challenges and read my usual authors.

Reread April 29, 2023
I loved it just as much the second time! The mystery kept me guessing - again. 🙄 But it really is the personal side of the story/stories that touch me. Seeing Eve deal with threats to her friends and colleagues - seeing her heart that she would have preferred to keep buried, that was great. And the ending was so intense! As always, the narration by Susan Ericksen was fabulous!

*4++ Stars*

This was just great! The mystery kept me guessing, but the personal side of the story was the best for me. I loved watching Eve try to figure who in her (ever widening) circle of friends would be the target and being so flustered because there were SO MANY people to consider! 😅 The dynamics between Eve and both her friends and colleagues were wonderful. And almost as intense as between Roarke and Eve - especially there at the end!

I listened to the audio of this book and Susan Ericksen was outstanding as usual!

Review: This series is just *chef's kiss*. Hats of to Anyta for another hit! Not my favorite of the series, but still completely engrossing with such absolutely wonderful characters and such a sweet story. I was a little worried in the beginning, 1. for the awful scottish accent (this goes away quickly, do not worry) and 2. because Anyta is the queen of the slow burn and the characters were together right away! (I will again reiterate that I have never read a Jane Austen book so everything is a complete surprise for me). However, Anyta was able to make it so we still got that delicious slow burn with a dash of heartache and a forever kind of pining. Sweet and lovely, and just another complete win from this series.

Review: I love the dynamics between Sebastian and Tristan. Tristan is a professional hockey player who takes college classes over the summer. Sebastian is his sociology professor. Tristan is in the closet because there aren’t any openly gay players in the NHL. I like that their relationship doesn’t really start until Tristan is no longer Sebastian’s student. I wasn’t sure about Sebastian’s personality at first, he’s very gruff and grumpy, but Tristan makes him a better man in the end, and they’re very hot together.

Review:
Okay, so I wasn't really sure about this book but I picked it because it worked for a couple of things and I need to maximize my challenges over here because it's Derby week and work was filled with things, personal life is filled with things, and it's been a little nutsy. I really liked Lucy and Jonas. Their chemistry was cute and fun. The paranormal stuff wasn't too bad for me, sometimes it can be a little too much. I definitely want to continue the series because the banter back and forth between all the characters is worth it.

Review: This is Maddox's first foray into contemporary and it had everything I've come to expect from her paranormal works. It was a quick, extremely fun read with witty banter and lovable characters. For me, it was just a little too insta-lovey, as it seems like the MCs fell for each other off page before the book started. I still enjoyed the action, the steam, and the chemistry between the characters, and am looking forward to more contemporary stories from Maz

This didn't have the same impact as it did the first time which was soon after reading the On Dublin Street series. But it was still enjoyable! And now I want to reread that series too. 🙄 Enjoyable narration by Angelica Lee.

June 30, 2018
I liked this, but the prologue came close to freaking me out a bit. Of course, it all made sense after a bit. It was hard to see such a favorite couple struggling, but it was real. And it was so sweet to see them work it all out. I will admit to shedding a tear when Nate finally confessed his feelings. It made me happy to see them happy in the end!

I listened to the audio and enjoyed Angelica Lee's performance. I did have one little quibble, a Scottish accent was given to one who shouldn't have had one. It wasn't a big deal, but it was noticeable to a fan of the On Dublin Street series.

Review: It was ok, some parts were very funny, especially Fran’s internal monologues. I didn’t really like Fran’s personality most of the book, but I did like it when he danced with Linda, and the way he treated his mom. I loved Cass, he was just adorable, and I wish we could’ve gotten some of his POV. It was hard to get to know him exclusively from Fran’s POV. The secondary characters were also great, including Fran’s young twins, his mother, and the townsfolk. I liked the Christmas setting and the quirky town.
