I've read it before, so I won't be using it, but Mrs. Chippy's Last Expedition: The Remarkable Journal of Shackleton's Polar-Bound Cat by Caroline Alexander is an awesome book.
I just read Smoky the Crow. I was going to use this for the published by MacMillan prompt, but then I realized it was a perfect fit here. It is not all from Smoky's POV but we do get to see the world as Smoky sees it.
I am really enjoying Black Beauty. Listening to the audio book and the narrator does a great job with all of the different character/horse voices.
