This one is set in 1953 as the HUAC witch hunts are digging into the Hollywood establishment and both the Soviets and East Germans are dealing with the political fallout from the death of Stalin.

Caught, by Harlan Coben. Library discard that prominently sat on foyer’s for-sale shelf for 5 weeks. My second foray with Mr. Coben’s works. Finding I’m more of a John Sanford guy.

Now starting DARK STAR by Alan Furst, the second novel in his "Night Soldiers" WWII spy thriller series published way back in 1991.

My father is a big fan of Furst's books but I had held off reading him until earlier this year. I read the prequel novel a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, so I thought I would sample the next book in the series.
