Thanks for the great picks Chan! I chose “The Trouble With Being Wicked”. I read the second book in this series back when I first got into HRs so this one is a pretty longstanding TBR vet for me.

While I liked the first book that I picked to read (Sixth Grave on the Edge), I just finished my second book and I struggled to finish it. I don't think this one was my cup of tea. Shiver. But I gave it a shot and it's off my to read list.

- 👍 Really loved this one! About Rose & Captain Dav Jallan's adventures in outer space. Clever; creative; mature dialogue; colorful characters from other planets. Great story arc about AI, its sentience and place in society. Binged this one. 5⭐
- 👎 One of my top 2022 reads was another Rosa Lucas' series, London Misters. This one? Is it even the same author? Formulaic, a 2D H & an h so weak I cringed. Definitely not the magic of her other series.
- 👎 I like O’Roark books but this one was so depressing. So much angst. Heroine never stands up for herself & no one is saving her. Throw in strong religious aspects with her parents - hate that stuff - and that was it for me. 
- 👎 This is a story about Emersyn who lives with Zach and his wife Suzi, who dies early in the book. Over time Z & E fall in love. While their story was very good, a continued focus on Suzi & her death pulled me from the story.
Very happy with my progress, finishing all but two of this round's picks and catching up on a bunch of older rounds! As always, thanks for the fun!Meet & Greet - Round 57

Well done Mony, Connie and MKat!! I did pretty well I read 17 of my 19 Group 2 reads and all 17 of the bonus reads and 1 of my previous round holdovers, so pretty pleased with my progress.
Overall it was very successful round of reads with ten 3 stars, a couple of 2 star duds, and one DNF, but I also had a lot of great reads with seventeen 4 star and five 5 star reads.
My fav reads were KarenH's pick: Scandal Above Stairs for Group 2 and Tink's pick: Half a Soul for the bonus.
