--This is a pretty quick read, but... I find I don't really CARE about the characters past surface-level? Like obviously, I care enough to keep reading, but I don't care with the same amount of passion I usually do. I'm not sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with nerves. They're all just sort of... flat? It's weird... How can I be so invested in the story, but yet not really care about the characters at all? They're sort of like paper cut-outs, a mishmash of every other character I've ever loved smooshed together into some sort of robotic blech. (hide spoiler)]

54%- It was hard to get into for me at first, but now I'm really into it and can't wait to see what's going to happen. (view spoiler)[I'm really hating Evangeline and most of the other silvers. They all seem to be selfish and cruel, but I know that's how they were raised. I still don't know what to think about Maven, he seems nice, but I'm wondering if it's an act and I actually like Cal even though his darker side is showing a little more.
