Hecatontagonal Stew: A Collection of 100 Hundred-Word Stories by Kyle A. Massa
Exactly as the cover suggests. A fun, multi-genre compilation of micro fiction. Not Kyle Massa's best, but a good collection nonetheless.

It's been on my self for several months, but I finally got to read Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
A member of the Potawatomi Nation and an academic scientist, Kimmerer blends science, personal insights, indigenous wisdom, mythology, and culture to articulate the lessons of healing and reciprocity we can garner from plants. Her writing is lyrical and inspiring.

Catch the Wind: From the Nullarbor to the Far Northwest in ‘68 by Bruce LoweryMy review 5⭐

I re-read Whereabouts by Jhumpa Lahiri. I enjoyed it so much more this time around than I did when I first read it a few years ago. It's in the first-person voice of a literature professor in her 40s and consists of a series of her meditations presented as short vignettes. The cumulative effect is a powerful portrayal of the internal landscape of a solitary life.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....
Prey by Vanda Symon features sins of the past, but probably not the ones you are expecting . . . ⭐⭐⭐.7 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
The Beforelife of Eliza Valentine by Laura Pearson
Had I empathized with the characters' actions, I might have rated this even higher. But it is still a memorable read with a novel plot idea.

Deserves the hype!

Three distinct graphic novels with somewhat distinct outcomes:1. Turtle Bread: A Graphic Novel About Baking, Fitting In, and the Power of Friendship by Kim-Joy
Adult graphic novel, but feels YA. The author is a baker, so the baking content is great;. The rest, not so much.

2. Ellie in First Position: A Graphic Novel by Brian Freschi
Middle-grade graphic novel. Could have been great but ended up just okay.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Strictly for adults. Mindblowing but also horrifying. Not recommended to conservative believers.

A series of interviews with Judi Dench in which she discusses her acting career of seven decades. The memoir is full of interesting anecdotes and insights into the plays and characters. The style is conversational. Dench is unpretentious and an absolute delight. Highly recommended for lovers of Shakespeare, the theatre, and fans of Judi Dench.
