message 5: by Shiloh (new)

Shiloh Capiak (shilohslibrary) either crying in h mart or the night circus! the first time i read the night circus i was completely enraptured by the storytelling, world building, and characters. it was unlike anything else i’d ever read and i remember searching for ANY book that would make me feel that same way again. (honestly have still yet to find it.) and then crying in h mart was just so heartbreaking and relatable and hopeful and hopeless all at once. i have never felt so many emotions in one read before. especially since i had listened to japanese breakfast for years without really knowing anything about michelle zauner, it was an amazing and beautiful read for me to see all of story and life experience behind so many of my favorite songs. plus it was a recommendation by a close friend of mine so i got to think of her as i read, which is always a bonus.
