steavy | 18 comments Please merge these two duplicate works. I have already separated them from the main stream and will re-combine afterwards.

David Raz (davidraz) | 12795 comments The book had a previous cover which was replaced by another librarian. I now restored it so the editions are very different. Was there a reason to remove that cover? No change comment was provided.

Rosa Lucas | 45 comments Hi,

A paperback of mine has recently been added as a separate book (it must have been the automated process).
Please merge: paperback edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8... and ebook edition:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

Thanks!

steavy | 18 comments Hello David,

I think the cover which you have restored is incorrect. There has been no such edition published with the information in the description and specified ISBN and this cover.

The publisher has published only one edition of the book in ukrainian.
https://bookclub.ua/catalog/books/fan...
this is the link

If you scroll down a bit, you will also find there ISBN which is equal to the one in the book you have changed the cover for.
So I think these two works are indeed duplicates of each other.
Also you can check other fields like publish date and publisher.

David Raz (davidraz) | 12795 comments Can you say for sure that there is only one cover? Looking at the Librarian Edits, you seem to have been the one who previously uploaded this "false" cover (though rotated). Can you say why you used it?

steavy | 18 comments By looking at the edits history I can see that the book record was added around two months before the publish date with limited details. (Feb 24, 2020)
The actual publish date is April 2020.
So my theory is that the previous cover was taken from the book preview published online by the publisher, but than the actual cover changed when the book was published.
Yes, there is only one cover this edition was published by this publisher and it's on the publisher's website.
