Book with future setting, possibly robots, and one scene where a girl steals a guys credit card in a restaurant

I remember reading this one book possibly 10+ years ago in my middle school library. Apologies as my memory is really fuzzy, but I do remember it takes place in a cyborg (dystopian?) future. The girl possibly woke up from cryosleep or lived in a tech free civilization and sees a futuristic city for the first time. the one scene i remember is the girl is in a diner and needs a credit card, so she steals this random guy’s card. He cannot pay for his food and gets either confronted or arrested by a cyborg waiter.

again, apologies for being vague but this was years and years ago, it’s a fleeting memory for me that i want to save
