I'm a slow but dedicated reader who also likes to cross stitch (yeah a lost craft), walk (almost a 1000 miles this year) and weight lift.

I've been walking/plodding a lot this year, and have done some lifting in the past. My mum is an incredible embroider, although she does everything except cross stich. I just have an appreciation of how much work all embroidering hobbies take! We have a lot of walkers/runners/crafters in this group, so you will fit right in.
Sounds like you must be an audiobook fan from those hobbies.

Recently I somehow found some time and read a few good books that got me rolling and I found myself scrolling through this group as well. Janice's next year challenge caught my attention and I started gophering. And I remembered the joy all of this brought to me in the past :).
And when I say I slowed down reading, I don't mean that I stopped reading altogether. I used to read around 40 books per year and the last years this dropped to around 20. So I still read, but fall into the dreaded reading slump more often when life takes over.
So here I am again, hoping that re-introducing myself will take me out of the shadows and motivate me to join the discussions here, while discovering new books.

Welcome back, Kirila! Good to see you joining back in the group. Congratulations on your wedding and little boy! We look forward to seeing what you're reading.

Welcome back Kirila and congratulations on all your wonderful life events. 20 books a year with a two year old is amazing! 👏

And, that is wonderful Kirila, start them young and you will get to enjoy reading together for years to come 😊 Welcome back

Looking forward to you joining us in our activities!!

(Kirila, Lexx, and I met up when we were in Zurich in 2017 and had German pizza which is called flammkuchen)
So lovely to hear from you, and what a massive few years for you! Glad you're well and life happened and was great! Wonderful you have a little reader around, and here is to having more time for you again. We are always here to help and enable :D
Was literally thinking about you the other day when I found a book we bought in Zurich. Spidey senses.

When we were in Germany, we thought Pferrer was Pepperoni. We were surprised to get a pizza with banana peppers on it, and no pepperoni in sight.

I also had to laugh as I then had to translate banana peppers, so another layer of not understanding what is going on.

Hi all,
My name is Anna, I live in the south east of England with my husband and our two cats, Milo & Lexi. I've always classed myself as a reader but must admit the act of reading seems to be happening less and less. I love a good thriller/suspense novel but happy to try any genre.

Hope we give you some incentives to pick up a book a bit more! Lots of thriller/suspense lovers here too.

Hi all! My name is Hannah and I live in England. I've been an on-again, off-again reader for most of my adult life and seem to be entering an on-again stage :-). I love mysteries and thrillers but happy to try any type of genre.
