Hey there. I’m Betty and I’m trying to get back in the habit of reading. I like the idea of challenges but burned myself out a few years ago by doing one that ended up being more work than fun. From what I’ve seen, the ones here are much more flexible and fun! I’m so glad to be here!

Welcome Betty! Understand that about challenges, we try and make sure there are different levels for whatever commitment you can do (or not) at any point in time. And there is never any pressure from us to finish, yourself however may be different :PGlad to see you're already jumping straight in, hope you have lots of fun here and we help you get back into the habit :D
Welcome, Betty! I get what you say about challenges. They are supposed to be fun and not a chore! In YLTO we commit as much or as little as we can and want. No pressure. :)

Hello all! I have actually been a member for several years but never read any messages or engaged in any way. I'm so glad I chose 2023 to do so! I'm a busy attorney, wife, and mother (not in that order) to two girls, currently aged 7 and 9 who have several sports and activities themselves that their dad and I get to chauffer them to.I read as much as time allows but my TBR list has been daunting. The puzzle challenge drew me in this year to set priorities for reading some of these books that I've wanted to read for years along with some new ones mixed in.
It's great you are engaging with more activities this year, Kristi. Fingers crossed that life lets you read more and more!

Hello, I just joined and love the challenges and prompts in this group! I'm always looking to broaden my horizons and find new books to read. My TBR is huge already, but I'm a mood reader so I like having a large TBR that way I can always find something I want to read.I've always loved reading but in the last 10 years or so life + a kid has kept me busy and I haven't read as much as I've wanted. Plus my phone and social media were always quicker to reach for - I've been working to break that habit. I enjoy books from all genres, although I don't read a lot of romance. But I'm open into expanding into that genre too.

Last semester when I came back to college I promised myself I would uninstall GR and twitter from my phone if I couldn't control it and if it affected my study time. It was not necessary, since I behaved exemplary. Lol. But I am on vacations now and back to all my bad habits. :D

Hello, hello! I'm Rachel and I'm joining the group to hopefully push myself to read more by joining some challenges. I've been in a slump for a lonngggg time and just can't seem to finish any book at the moment.My go-to genre is usually thrillers with some kind of psychological twist. I'd love to make some reader friends while I'm here!
