My review of "the vanishing of class 3B) can be found at
The Vanishing of Class 3B by Jackie KablerMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I had the feeling I read analogue stories before what was annoying. Furthermore the characters were described elaborate (too elaborate to my taste). The end was somewhat a pageturner and well worth the 3 stars!

I am now nearly halfway through book one of the Dotty Sayers Antique Mystery series
Fake Death by Victoria Tait after having read a free copy of the prequel
Hour is Come.

What's next on your TBR list or for a group read (any group)?
Inquiring minds!"
I love the image you posted; it reminds me of my son, who has recently started watching story time videos on YouTube. However, I'm happy to report that he still loves going to Barnes & Noble with me.
The next thriller on my list is 'Home is Where the Bodies Are' by Jeneva Rose. I pre-ordered this one, which I don't often do, but the premise really grabbed my attention. Has anyone started this one yet?
I also often listen to audiobooks (for when I'm trapped in the car), and since I just finished my last one, I'm thinking of starting 'In an Instant' by Suzanne Redfearn. Audiobooks can be hit or miss (even if the story is good), but from the preview I listened to, it sounds like it might be a good one.
I returned to Madison Night with

I'm finishing up the week with
Kaleidoscope by Dorothy Gilman https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Caroline Kepnes woke up The Bad Friend with a satisfying (to me) surprise in her short story from the #NeverTell collection.

If you only read one thriller this year, make it JD Barker's Behind a Closed Door. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ doesn't do it justice!
Behind a Closed Door by J.D. Barker https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My second book of the week is
A Midnight Puzzle by Gigi Pandian. This is the third in her fun series involving a retired magician and a construction company that specializes in hidden rooms.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished a debut author The Socialite's Guide to Murder
by SK Golden. It was just okay for me. I felt although author was trying to make a book similar to CJ Archer's series. This book is set in 1957 New York. So different setting and time period. Other than the little girl, Amelia, in the book I was not too fond of the characters.
I'm glad that Stephen King ventured out of horror into old-school mystery territory with Retired Detective Bill Hodges, a likeable guy who finds new purpose in catching the villainous Mr. Mercedes.

I'm starting off the week with
The Last Thing Claire Wanted by Karin Fitz Sanford. This is a darker mystery, but I enjoyed it. It helped that I had fun with the setting - it was set in the town where I grew up.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I've gotten a little further in Carolyn Hart's Death on Demand series.
White Elephant Dead is fun, although it does have the usual issues for the series. Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I expected to and did enjoy "Ernest Cunningham's" second novel (by Aussie author Benjamin Stevenson, of course), Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect. The trademark humour is there, along with murders and secrets. Good fun!

I'm getting a jump on next week's new releases with a look at the fun
Kill or Bee Killed by Jennie Marts https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
