That sounds good. And speaking of H.H. Munro aka Saki, what a great storyteller!

I've been a bit busy lately, but I did finish The Devil's Flute Murders, another Detective Kindaichi mystery from Pushkin-Vertigo. Strange but very good. I also watched the movie adapted from this novel (1979) and I'm happy I read the book first or I likely would have been lost. The film was not made by Kon Ichikawa like the others I've seen, where Kindaichi was played by Koji Ishizaka, likely the best Kindaichi ever.

I love the series, but this would be just as good as a standalone.

The Body Under the Bridge (DCI Craig Gillard #5) by Nick Louth

I'm so happy that I can say 'reading' because since my eye surgery last month reading was virtually impossible for a couple of weeks. It will never be easy again because I lost a lot of sight in one eye, but eventually I will get used to that.

I've tried audiobooks but since I'm a very fast reader I could not get used to the slow pace of them.

you can speed up the reading on audiobooks. That may work for you. You do have to learn to adjust to the pace of audiobooks. I can say that I enjoy both reading and listening, but I have very little time to actually read and can listen to books while I do other things.
