2023 Challenge Index




I am planning to continue with the Finish What You Stared (FWYS) on my own again. And I'll also continue the Never Ending Series Challenge and keeping track of my reading connections.

Elsa and I are excited to do the Pick My Book challenge again for this 7th year! I will also do the Pick One For Me challenge to help me choose monthly books (choice of 3). I'm also planning to to read one book a month for gn Clean Sweep 2023. That's a commitment for 3+ books a month. Very doable! Oops, I forgot to post the Clean Sweep Challenge on my on-going challenges, so I totally forgot to do it. Maybe 2024...

I bit off more than I could read in 2021 year, but in 2022, I finished reading 22 out of the 28 books that I never got to in 2021...so that was pretty good, but I only read 6 of the 12 books for the Pick My Book challenge with Elsa in 2022. But all in all, I did much better with my 2022 reading challenge reading.

I did an Exchange Team Challenge in the fall of 2022 in AMMP, but it required 2 days of trading and reading 3 books a month in 7 days. I read several of my kindle books because of the quick turn around time. I also bought a kindle ebook! :0 It wasn't as fun as I expected and it really messed up my reading and challenge book completions for the end of 2022. I'm not sure if I will do it again. But I did enjoy talking with my team.

In 2022, I joined more at your own pace challenges. And I plan to participate in LC Eye of Beholder, TCF Give Me 5, ccc Letter Hunt and ehrtbm Pick It Relay with a new pick as you finish level with no book goals for the year.

I also started waaaay too many multi-year Reading Challenges in 2021 adding to the too many that I already had active. In 2023, I hope to continue to make some serious progress on them:

Planning to do the 2022 AMMP Game Night Challenge of the Month again.

I am going to try to resist any multi year reading challenges (most from FloaB ~ For Love of a Book or ToaP ~ Turn of a Page) until I get more of them completed. I have had my library account locked multiple times in 2022, because I didn't finish my reviews in a timely manner. I hope to be better about updating my challenges and writing reviews for the books I finish this year.

The defining reading challenge for 2023 is [Crazy Challenge Connection] Series Finisher Challenge. I am getting lots of series books read but only in a month when I can count them :D.
