Started on The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher yesterday and couldn't stop. Only about 30% to go. Properly creepy!

I'm reading 'Radiance' by Catherynne Valente, but I'm having a terrible time! The style is soooo distracting. Can anyone tell me why I should continue? Thanks

Me, too! Very entertaining!

I've got 5 or 6 King books to catch up on this year. I probably should have read The Outsider first, but spoilers don't matter to me if the book is good."
I just read 'Later', from 2021 & really liked it.
I’m curious to know if All Hollows is good. I’m reading Episode 13 right now, it’s pretty fun so far

I’m re reading Ghost Story
by Peter StraubIt’s just as good as I remember, possibly better! It still ranks as one of my favourite ever books. Brilliant.

One of my top scary books. I read it when I was 16 and couldn't go in the basement for weeks afterward.

In a Lonely Place
by Karl Edward Wagner. I’m wondering if this collection’s reputation isn’t a bit inflated, to be honest. The stories so far certainly aren’t bad, but…

I'm starting

but if it doesn't work for me, I might start

I've finally started Billy Summers. I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to get around to reading it. I'm not far enough along to form any kind of opinion yet. I'm also in the middle of How to Sell a Haunted House and loving it!!

I quite like it so far though I feel slightly detached from Billy, not as invested as I would be with other King characters.

Oh what a fun coincidence! It was on my list of TBRs to get through this year, soooo ... I'm only on page 11. haha. I honestly have no opinion formed yet at all. I'm just about to go read a bit on my lunch break though. :D

I am about halfway through Robert McCammon Speaks the Nightbird and I'm loving it. Was drawn to this series after reading Cardinal Black

I’m in the way back machine with Ketchum’s Off Season; just before that, Morrison’s #thighgap; ahead of that was Ahlborn’s The Shuddering…
I think that no matter what I think of this book, I will probably think a little worse of the novella "If It Bleeds;" I shouldn't have read that one first. oh well.

But I still enjoyed the Outsider enough to give it 5 stars.
The Outsider is what got me back to reading Stephen King again. I read it twice - with maybe one or two other books between my first and second reading. I loved it that much. Then I realized the Bill Hodges trilogy existed! So I read them all out of order, but loved them all anyway.

I think they will all be getting a reread before Holly is released.
