Children's Picture Book about a Train (red engine) in winter, with Christmas Carols verses to sing. Musical score with staff notation throughout the book. Read around 1985.

A book I remember getting from the library as a child in about 1985, it has always stuck in my mind for the evening i convinced my babysitter that my mum would read me the whole book, and sing all the verses of each carol! It was a story about a steam train, in winter, and there was a carol, and the staff notation, on each alternate double spread.

The illustrations used muted colours, am temped to say pencil rather than painted, realistic and I'm sure the engine was red.
