It's a new month so it's time for another "What Are You Reading?" section! Since it's March hopefully the snow will be melting soon. We'd like to know what you've been reading or what you plan to read this month!

Funny Girl by Nick Hornby Saga, Volume 1 (Saga #1-6) by Brian K. Vaughan Saga, Volume 2 (Saga #7-12) by Brian K. Vaughan Runaways, Vol. 1 Pride and Joy (Runaways, #1) by Brian K. Vaughan Runaways, Vol. 2 Teenage Wasteland (Runaways, #2) by Brian K. Vaughan We Should Hang Out Sometime Embarrassingly, a true story by Josh Sundquist Zac and Mia by A.J. Betts The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

This is kind of a recap of the end of February as well as what I've just started for March. After I finished Funny Girl, I started two graphic novel series, Runaways and Saga, both by Brian K. Vaughan.

Runaways is about a group of six teens whose parents get together every year for a "charity fundraising dinner" and one year the teens get restless and decide to explore. They come across their parents performing a horrible act, and this spins them into a frenzy. The teens go on the run, all while putting together their parents true identities. I've only read the first two books of the series, but so far it has me hooked!

Saga is a series that I have borrowed, returned, and borrowed again many times over the past year, and I finally started it, and I wish I'd started it sooner! Saga is about an interspecies couple on the run during and intergalatic war with their newborn baby. They are being chased by government officials as well as hired hitmen.

We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sundquist is the true story of Josh's girlfriend (or lack thereof) history. Josh realized at the age of 25 that he had never had an actual girlfriend. The book goes through a few of Josh's crushes or almost-girlfriends breaking down each section by the story of how the met and what happened, Josh's hypothesis about why the relationship didn't pan out, and an investigation for each one where he actually met up with each girl to discuss what went wrong. I won't spoil the ending but Josh is a very interesting guy and I loved his final conclusion.

As for what I'm starting to read in March, I've just started Zac and Mia. It seems to have a The Fault in Our Stars kind of feel. I'm only a few pages in and from the summary I know that it's a story about teens with cancer. We'll see how it turns out.

Last week, I sped through Graceling by Kristin Cashore, which is teen fantasy. I loved it! I've moved on to Fire, which is the second in her set of three companion books (they have different main characters, but are all set in the same world and have some overlapping storylines). I'm really enjoying it; fantasy is my favorite genre and Cashore has some really interesting ideas of the magic in the world she's created.

I'm still pushing through Dragonfly in Amber, which obviously is taking a while... It's not a quick read, but all the stuff I've read online about the series says that pushing through the second book is worth it. So here I am!

I've been foraying into comics this month, and it's been really fun-- I started with Daredevil: Born Again: Born Again Premiere by Frank Miller, and so far it's very good. I also read March: Book One, which was fantastic.

Some friends and I are planning on reading The Night Circus together later this month, and I'm looking forward to that!

Dana Gisser (deekgee) I swear I had responded about this month but it looks like I didn't.

I read The Neverending Story this month, and it was a great blast back to my childhood. I also read Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz. Both of these were great quick reads for me.
Foundation
Moving on to more adult books, I am slowly making my way through East of Eden but I'm not the biggest fan so I would not recommend it. However, I am also reading The Scorch Trials and I would definitely recommend it. So far I think I like it more than I liked Maze Runner.

Once I finish East of Eden I'll be reading Foundation in my alphabet challenge, assuming I can get that far in March.

John Burroughs (jesuscrisis) Primarily what I've read so far this month is poetry by Ohio authors and/or fairly local small presses. Full list here. Currently, I'm very much enjoying Brian Tamm's Brian Eno: His Music and the Vertical Color of Sound.
