I do not have a blog or any *followers* except for Goodreads and I think they want those with blogs, twitter feeds etc. I'm not into that and don't want to do it just for the sake of getting books at Netgalley.

Agree with both of your posts, Pat. There are plenty of book sources out there for us other than net Galley.
I think what they are looking at in Net Galley is mostly people who can get the word out for their books. I have a blog, but then I have been rejected for a couple of books as well. So you can never say what's the case there, since the rejections sometimes don't have any reason, its a guessing game I guess....
Since I blog about what I read, Net Galley makes sense to me, but I don't blog just to please Net Galley.
That said my feedback ratio is pretty much in the low 20% due to # of books on my shelf which are not yet read. I read at my own pace, and I request books from Net Galley that I think I would like reading, if they don't want to give it to me based on my feedback ration it is their loss.
I do review every book that I have finished reading through Net Galley though on my blog and on GoodReads..
Thanks, Janet! I just discovered Mel's book.. It's a READ NOW! Will have to get to it after my fantasy fantasy.

. Sharon Bolton"That's great! I haven't gotten to it yet because it is still hard to hold my head up to read. I've been listening to audio books in the meantime. Hopefully I will be back to normal soon. Going for a ride to camp yesterday was so nice to get out on a nice day, but I had to go straight to bed when we got home.
I am glad you can still listen to audiobooks, Lynn, and that you are getting out. Audiobooks are slower than books, but still a great thing to have access too. Keep getting better!!!

Just approved for
, a memoir that sounds interesting. Quickest approval I've ever had from a Publisher through NetGalley - got notification in less than 3 hours!
Lol Sean. :)
How many do you have?
I've got 5 on my shelf.

Sean told us he had 30 about 10 days ago. Are you closing in on 40, Sean? I have 2 on my shelf. I am not going to beat Sean's record, that's for sure!
Has anyone been approved for the next Linwood Barclay book yet? Or denied? My request is 3-4 weeks old.
I didn't request that one Chris, I like him but I have 5 ready to review.
I've just seen it, but I've never read any of his. I currently have 12 sitting on my reading shelf. But some of them are old read now ones.

I've just been browsing on Netgalley. Rubbernecker by Belinda Bauer is up for request for Canada and States if anyone is interested. Supposed to be her finest. I haven't read it yet but I bought a copy a while ago.
Actually anyone in the UK go for it too, no harm in trying!! I would have if I didn't have it!
