January 2023 Group Read Nominations
This is a tough category!I'll nominate Christopher Golden's Road of Bones. It's set in icy Siberia, and the Golden last name gets the 'fire' nod.
The books nominated could be just cold or just heat.
It's not necessary to have both. :)
That would really be a challenge.

At the Mountains of Madness was a previous group read so it's not eligible.

"I'll go with Road of Bones as well since it's been in my TBR list for quite a while now.

Has fire as an important part of the story. It works.

I nominate Thomas Olde Heuvelt's Echo, which satisfies both Ice and Fire. I also agree with Netanella on Road of Bones.

I want to nominate
By Their Cold Fingers by Timothy Bryan. I own the audiobook on Chirp just under 7 hours. Ebook is 290 pages. "Greenland, 1408. Norse Villagers at the end of the settled world struggle against an endless winter, but an unholy predator from the arctic steppe soon makes the weather the least of their concerns."

Let's get the year started with a theme of FIRE AND ICE
I know there are plenty of horror stories set in the cold and snow. Those books should be fairly easy to find. It may be a bit of a challenge to find horror set with heat or fire as part of the story but you wonderful HA folks always seem to come through with suggestions. Give it your best shot.
As always, authors may not nominate their own books.
Please do not nominate books read in the last few years.
