When you say "Scavenger Hunt Roses will be limited to 10 for this date." Do you mean 10 possible SH roses per each Challenge competitor OR a pool of 10 total SH roses available for ALL Challenge participants?

Kat, I have a book that appears on the list Favorite Romance with Brits or set in UKThe precis only mentions Novasgard which is where one main character is trapped for a bit - however the book is also set in Britain at a University where the other 4 main characters are at school.
Would this meet the "outside of the US" requirement?
The location of the academy isn't listed in the shelves for this book or the precis as it's the middle of the series.

Sorry, I missed this earlier when I was checking for the Speed Dating Rose.
I'm sorry, because the list isn't specific to setting and includes characters and nothing supports that it is where the book is set I would say no.
I think I know the answer to this, but just in case I'm wrong, would a tag not-set-in-the-US work? Its not specific on the location, but it is clear about not being the US :)

Would the tag 'Immortal-Warriors' work for the Argeneau series? The series has an organization with structure that hunts rogue immortals. There group has their own compound and there is a named leader for the structure.

Hi everyone. I am slowly recovering from the holidays and hope to get caught up in the next few days. I don't think it is going to be super quick though.
Kat Quick question - I've been using the tags or precis for a series, however if a series name has the name of a European city in it - would it qualify the book for this date?
The series I'm reading is London Mister
I ask as I was looking at a series from Nana Malone which is similar with the series title having London in it

Looking at the series you listed, it describes the characters not the setting. Based on that, I would say you are better off using the precis or tags. I can't answer for other series, but you are free to ask if you answers for a specific series.
I'm finding focus difficult (I think it is treatment I am getting for an eye issue), so checking books is going veeeerrrryyyy sslllooowwlllyy! Fortunately, the date doesn't end for a while. And hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Not necessarily. Often authors create fake towns in the US for books. So I can't give a blanket yes to that.
Would this be enough for not USA from precis: the next time they have to travel to a different continent Bel is drugging Nico first.We know from the first book in the Series that the MC's live in Detroit Michigan. Book is A Mage's Guide to Aussie Terrors. I am not using title alone as I haven't read it and it could be the terrors are of Australian origin but travelled to different country to terrorize.

Thanks Maggie. It may not be fun, but I do think the treatment is helping. I will know more after seeing the ophthalmologist at the end of the month. (Being a new treatment, the question is how long it lasts. 🤷🏻♀️🤞🏼)

Winter storms such as blizzards or snow on the cover will qualify your book in context - snow on the mountains in the distance will not work.

To qualify, the selected book needs to be in a numbered series listed on GR with at least 10 books included in the series. In between books will count in the series total for this task, but to count they must be distinct works. Not all books in the series need to have been released, but an unpublished book needs to have a title and an expected release date available for it to count as one of the required books. Series without order or numbers will not be allowed for this task. Series such as 1001 Dark Nights will also not be allowed. Omnibus, compilations or boxed sets do not count towards the total of distinct works for a series.

To qualify for this task, the book needs to feature a married or established couple/mates. The couple needs to be together at the beginning of the book, not only at the end. The qualification for this task can come from the precis, tags or lists.

And since I’m asking about this, in a non PNR world, would a story of an established couple where one partner is suffering from amnesia or a form of memory loss and regains memories through the course of the book work?

For the first book, because of this in the precis I would say it doesn't work - "It only takes one chance meeting to find out their platonic teenage bond".
For the second book, I would say it does work.

You can't use the series 1001 Dark Nights (or anything similar) to qualify your books. If the books are part of another numbered series listed on GR, you can use books that are in the 1001 Dark Nights if they otherwise qualify - long enough series, enough pages, MPG Romance...
Two more questions for Husband- Would waking up in Vegas married at the beginning of the book work?
The two I've found are:
Put Me in Detention and Accidental Husband
And would this work for married at the beginning of the book and together at the end? Untying the Knot

Hi Kat - further on the 1001 Dark Nights (which I know nothing about). Does that not qualify because they are all different authors or because they are not numbered, or because they are presented in one book?I'm looking at MM series that are by different authors but are numbered - eg Valentine's Inc Cruises or similar. Does this sort of thing work?

The 1001 Dark Nights series doesn't work because it is a bunch of novellas by different authors mostly in different series. So the original series would work if it qualifies, but you can't use the 1001 Dark Nights 'series' because it isn't a series in the true sense of the word.

To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be a sports romance. Saying 'the hero is a runner' or 'MC is an athlete' doesn't qualify the book. Using 'title states that hero is a football player' or 'tagged sports by 7 people' does qualify the book. Books can to be tagged/shelved as either the generic 'sports' or the more specific sport such as 'football' or 'hockey' as examples to qualify. Qualifications can come from the title, precis, tags or lists.
