Neetu Datta | 1 comments It was a discarded journal of a woman in either the late guilded or interwar period. She introduced herself by the name of Polly to people and her journey begins in New York. She's been a washerwoman, a maid, a factory worker, and has worked at a seaside hotel. She details idle gossip, her expenses, the whole accounts, and her travels. She writes about her life largely. I believe the journal was rescued by a lady journalist and most likely published 1930's-40's. I will be very grateful if someone can find it. She's most likely caucasian and most likely living on her own for some independence. She mentions a fur coat, she's fluent in ettiquette, and yet chose to ration for bread. Her motivations are not clear. If I were to venture a guess as a reader, she's committing to some sort of social experiment.

IT IS NOT A LIFE DISCARDED OR THE RED LEATHER DIARY
