@Leo (Rahien Sorei)- I'm not sure how far you are into the Eli Monpress Omnibus, but I found as I read the books, that Eli as a character was less interesting than the supporting characters that surround him.

The main thing I learned from reading iZombie is that the only thing they brought into the TV series was "woman with short white hair named Gwen is a zombie". They tossed her job & totally replaced the rest of the characters. Honestly, I didn't read anything in the graphic novel that distinguished it from a bunch of other (non-graphic) urban fantasies, and I wasn't wild about the artwork, which seemed stiff & static to me.
On the other hand, Lazarus, Vol. 3: Conclave was excellent! This graphic novel keeps getting better...
Oh, and I started re-reading Pohl's Gateway for our upcoming classic novel discussion.

Really like it but is a little slow"
The Golem and the Jinni was my favorite novel of 2013. It was one of our contemporary novel discussion topics back then if you want to chat about it further.

Bryce you're right, Eli's co-conspirators are by far more interesting. Even Miranda seems a bit more compelling and liable to exhibit some growth than the book's daddy-issue-riddled namesake.

That's disappointing! I was rather looking forward to it. Also, yes, Lazarus keeps popping up 5 stars reviews on my Goodreads feed too.
