That is a correct way to handle it, but personally, with a valid edition coming soon, I would maybe just leave it as it is till the valid edition is added. In such a situation the chances are higher someone will add a new edition after you marked this one as invalid.
I already created the two series but the book .5 in the Courts of Faery series https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... the author said "A Gift for a Fae Warrior was included in that anthology which recently ended. It is currently available free to my newsletter subscribers but will move to Amazon soon." in this case it should be marked as invalid and then merged with the amazon record later on or something else?
