Bobbie | 3 comments The writers wife is named Page and one daughter is Charlotte. The writer was just interviewed for a magazine and his clone when he gets hurt has to eat a lot of food to recover quickly. The clone is a movie buff and at one point kidnaps the children from a neighbours house but the dad chases them and gets the girls back and they hide out in a hotel. The police don't believe the writer I think his name is Marty. The organization is also after the clone with some high tech gear but the clone finds his tracking device in his shoe and removes it.

Emma Cooke | 4 comments Hi Bobbie.

It sounds like Mr Murder by Dean Koontz - a great read - from the early 90s

The main character is bestselling mystery writer Marty Stillwater. The ‘killer’ is attracted by some force he doesn't understand to the Stillwater residence. He breaks into the their house and sees a picture of Marty and believes it to be himself. He observes books authored by Marty and decides they are his. He sees the pictures of the daughters Emily and Charlotte and Marty's wife Paige, he then decides he wants to be the father and husband…..

Hope this helps :)

As soon as I saw Mr Murder, I remembered. Thank you so much for taking the time to message me and for having a great memory. I wanted to get the book for my adult daughter who has finally taken an interest in reading fiction.
Kind Regards

Bobbie | 3 comments I am sure she will. Now that you have given me his name I see he has heaps of books that I can now read as well. I'm currently reading the latest book in the Rockton series by Kelley Armstrong and they are very good. Thanks again for your help.

Emma Cooke | 4 comments Oh yes, there are some excellent books. I’ve ready about 18 of his, some similar some completely different but all keep you interested. If you like book series you should try the Odd Thomas books. I’ve only read the first two but they are great stories. Happy reading!

Emma :)
