I suppose the series "Kolekcja Świat Dysku" was meant to list the Polish releases in some publisher-specific order, in which this book was number 5. No other books were ever added to the series, so one cannot tell. If this is not an actual series, it can be removed. I would have asked the librarian who created the series since they still seem active, but they don't accept messages, so I am asking you. Do you know of such a series?

Thanks for the excellent research.

Sadly, series collect "works", not "editions". Therefore, if even one edition of the work appears in some series, the entire "work" will appear in the series. We had two "Kolekcja Świat Dysku" series, so I deleted one, and following your research, I added all works to Kolekcja Świat Dysku Series in the correct order, and I corrected the titles accordingly.

While doing that, I split the editions which were incorrectly combined, such as Niewidoczni akademicy. Część I and Niewidoczni akademicy. Część II.

The book's title is separate from the series it belongs to and may contain contradictory information. I only corrected the titles for the 44 "Kolekcja Świat Dysku" editions you listed.

If you want me to create an additional "Wielka Kolecja Terry Pratchett" series, add books to it, and correct the titles, please list the editions.

As I said, the title of an edition is separate from the series the work belongs to.

The title of this edition is "Wyprawa czarownic (Świat Dysku, #12; Wielka Kolekcja Terry Pratchett #6)" which is what you see in the list of editions.

The work belongs to the following series: Discworld #12, Discworld - Witches #3, Kolekcja Świat Dysku #6.

There are no "Świat Dysku" or "Wielka Kolekcja Terry Pratchett" series. If there was never a "Świat Dysku" series and all Polish editions are either "Kolekcja Świat Dysku" or "Wielka Kolekcja Terry Pratchett", then all titles should be corrected. They can have "Discworld" (if one wishes to mention it) and either "Kolekcja Świat Dysku" or "Wielka Kolekcja Terry Pratchett", as appropriate.

Yes, these are two different things.

When a librarian edits an edition, they can add series information in parenthesis after the book title. They can also add the work to actual series. The series information from the title and the series information from the actual series are different and can even be contradictory.

What you see in the work page is the full title of every edition, including the series information from the title.

What you are seeing in the book page is the partial title (without the series information from the title) with the actual series information.

"Świat Dysku" is "Discworld" in Polish, so that explains why it's put in the series information part of the title.
"Wielka Kolekcja Terry Pratchett" is similar to the previous series, but it will only have 40 books instead of 44, because they didn't split some of the books into two parts.
I'll do a proper research, submit a new request later and maybe also write a message about it in this thread. For now I'm marking this request as done. Thank you :)

I keep track of all my open requests (currently around 25) and changing the status in the title once it's done. Too bad there's no better system for submitting new books and corrections...
I'm a volunteer admin at BGG (BoardGameGeek) and I can easily see the pending corrections, versions, games etc, so it's much easier to handle.

The collected works of an author are not considered series according to GR policy. (Rule of thumb: if the title contains "Collection" or its equivalent it is not a series.)

"Świat Dysku" (Discworld) is different, because those books are all set in the same universe.
