Hi Patricia!
You look in the mood for some holiday romancing so I pick The Knight Before Christmas by Marilyn Brant for you.

Sophia - I choose Unexpected Harvest for you. I am currently reading it and really enjoying it. It is a long book though so if November is super busy go for Speechless instead which is also great but shorter!
Abmom, what a great list! I had five-starred several of those. I am going with A Proper Introduction because it's the freshest in my memory. It was a really fun epistolary, pretty short.
Katja, you have put me in such a dilemma because you've mamy of my favorites. I'm going to choose Joana's Mr. Bennet's dutiful daughter which is quite heartwrenchingly angsty but also so lovely.
Ahhh, you're so kind, Crafty!
I'll keep the back-up plan in mind just in case life goes nuts and I can't fit in a longer read. I finished her most recent release this summer and wanted to go back for her backlist so I'm glad you are reading and enjoying it.

I finished my book,A Proper Introduction: A Pride & Prejudice Epistolary https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... 5++ stars.
Katja, thank you so much for your choice. It was a very enjoyable book. I loved it.
I’m afraid Captive Hearts: A Persuasion Variation was a DNF for me. Way too many errors of language and manners for me to get into the story. I was hoping for an account of Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth’s original love story, before Persuasion begins—a story I’ve always felt was missing from Austen’s novel—but this basically retells Persuasion with the odd addition of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. Too many other books on my list, I need to move on.
Yep! My TBR is so long that I have learned to stop reading once it’s clear the book won’t work for me.
Abigail wrote: "Yep! My TBR is so long that I have learned to stop reading once it’s clear the book won’t work for me."I was talking about this to a friend - we both decided once we crossed our half century that life was too short to carry on reading a book we weren't enjoying.
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! 🤣
I have a ton of unfinished books too. I still have to learn to review them as DNF... I keep thinking I'll get back to them one day

Thanks for the suggestion, Patricia! I’ve heard good things about that one and it has been on my shelf too long.
Finished Unexpected Harvest! Only my second Cat Andrews and I really love what she does with modern P&P retellings. This one had creative gender reversals so the Bennets were rich and the Darcys and Bingleys were small town. I really love the emotional twists and turns, but also attention to backdrop and setting.
Thanks for the pick, Craftyhj!

I'm glad you enjoyed it Sophia. I am saving Dance the Tide for a reward after my seasonal work overload comes to an end a week before Christmas. I want to be able to savour it rather than reading in little bits.
Sam wrote: "Kirk - I will let you get to volume 2 sooner than later ;)
"Thanks again!!! Twas enjoyable. Perhaps too much build up but a strange and wild several ending chapters. 4.5ish.

Good plan. It would be hard to keep picking it up and putting it down during holiday rush time for your work projects especially certain sections of the story.

Here's how it will work:
Sophia will match people up and leave a comment with a list of who will choose for whom.
When you see the person you are to pick for, then just look at their list in the above comments and leave a new comment with their name and the book you chose for them by Nov. 30th.
You also need to watch and see what book your person chose from your list for you.
You have the rest of the month to read the book.
So if this sounds like something you would like to do, just comment below leaving your name and list of book choices for someone to pick your November book.
