Camille post 1597

All posts must include links to the books listed. Also see posts 174 and 220 in this thread.

Looking further, I noted that there is no "Camille" on the Readerboard. You will need to post in the Readerboard Names thread to get listed on the readerboard.

If this is meant to be a completed task post, it needs a link to the book you're claiming.

Task 30.1 - book 1 is a cover task and you must include the cover in your post.

Task 30.3 requires that you "choose two options." Both of your books are from option 4.

I had two Goodreads Authors in post 1583, one in task 10.7 and one in task 30.3, but my total on the Readerboard only went up by one (from 3 to 4) and I don't see any message about the discrepancy. Can you please check?

Kimber post 1621

Task 15.8 - The Nightingale was specifically discussed in the help thread as being questionable for this task:

"From the description, it's not clear - it appears that one sister's story is about civilians living in occupied France, so that wouldn't work. The second sister is described as falling in love with a member of the Resistance and joining the Resistance - if she's out there blowing up bridges and such (i.e. participating in combat), and the book is predominantly (more than 50%) about her, it would work."

If the book is indeed at least 50% about a woman actually participating in warfare, please repost, explaining how your book fits the task.

I want to double check my GR and BB tickets. For BB tickets, I should have 4 (I think). I claimed 3 in post 1374 for Drums of Autumn as it is a 1000+ page book. This should bring my total to 4, but on the list I only have 1. I'm not sure I recorded that one correctly, so just let me know if I need to repost.

For GR tickets, my tally says 23 as of post 1569, but the readerboard list says I have 20. I recorded 1 in post 1569 and 2 in post 1497 which should bring my total to 23.

The problem was post 1374. Your links were not working, so I skipped over the post. I've gone back and manually looked up each book, so your ticket total should match after the next update.

Task 30.5 requires that books must be at least 250 pages. The Brilliant History of Color in Art only has 128 pages, so will not work for the task.

If you plan to use the book for a different task, please note that Children>Middle Grade is a main page genre, so you will need to be mindful of the requirements for use of books with children as a main age genre.

The points for the other tasks in the post have been recorded. Please do not repost them.

The Rules of the Challenge provide that "5. Books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed in the task description for a higher point task.

Task 50.1 does not specifically allow these genres, and Firefight includes Comics>Superhoes among its main page genres.

The other tasks in your post have been recorded - please do not repost them.

I did see that the genre Comics was listed, but as this book is NOT a comic book, there are not illustrations at all, I didn't even connect those two things. So I guess this book won't work, since it falls under the same category as books that are mis-shelved as children's?

To tell you the truth I've kind of lost track since I got sick... I'll take your word for it and if we don't come out right at the end we can go back and find the problem. I suspect your math is right. :)
