2 -- Featuring An Inheritance
Fred and Breakfast by Phoebe MacLeod is a cute romance about a woman who inherits a fortune that includes a run-down café that she restores while falling in love.
I am reading through books I have in my TBR pile as part of my '23 resolutions so I was thrilled when "inheritance" was in the first sentence of the description for The Spanish Promise by Karen Swan.
I’m using Every Little Breath by Keri Beevis I’ve also found these two
All Her Fault by Andrea Mara
A Good Mother by Sam Hepburn
I was thinking 13 reasons why as the main character technically inherits the audio tapes from Hannah
Fairy Tale by Stephan king or The Inheritance Game by Jennifer Lynn BarnesEdit I actually READ Witch Inheritance in Feb
The Spanish Daughter by Ecuadorian Lorena Hughes is a historical mystery set in the cacao plantations of the 1920s. It involves an inheritance, intrigue, family secrets and creates a picture of the era. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
I'm reading a book started in 2022, and as I started looking over the list I said Hey! PROMPT #2. "Christmas at the Marshmallow Cafe" by CP Ward. Now I want to learn how to make Marshmallows from scratch! Anyway she inherits a cafe from her long lost recently deceased uncle. Cheers to an inheritance prompt!
I’m going for Great Expectations by Charles Dickens as somehow I’ve got to 32 without having ever read it!
Just finished reading Trimmed With Murder by Sally Goldenbaum. This is a book in a cozy mystery series I have been reading. It begins with a young woman arriving in town for the reading of her grandmother's will, in which she is named as an heir.
The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa is about a high school student who inherits a bookstore from his grandfather. (And along comes a talking cat...)Magical realism with an inheritance - what could be better? <3
I read the The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey. I liked her Rei Shimura books a lot with Japanese themes. These are also a series - four five so far and this was the first book in the series, introducing Parveen Mistry, who wants to eventually be the first woman admitted to the bar in India in the 1920s. The Parsi community is described very well as is the purdah traditions of the Muslim widows who have the inheritance and how as a female, Ms, Mistry is able to approach them, Enjoyed it greatly and I will be reading the other books in the series for sure.
Murder on Milverton Square was a very enjoyable cozy mystery. While not my usual genre, I am so glad I gave this book a try as it was so enjoyable!
I read A Treacherous Treasure by Melanie Dickerson for this prompt. A cute, clean historical romance - very cozy and just what I needed (although I wouldn't read this if you're looking for a good mystery). The heroine inherits first her husband's estate and then a pirate treasure that they discover buried on the land.

I really liked All the Murmuring Bones if you are into gothic fantasies. This is not a genre I normally read but couldn’t put this book down.
I read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline for this prompt. I was an 80’s kid and enjoyed the nostalgia of the era.
Complete Ghost Stories by Charles Dickens. Some of the short stories included in this featured an inheritance of some sort.Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I found two thrillers with inheritance as main theme: - "The refuge" by Jérôme Loubry
- "Home before dark" by Riley Sager.
The Moon Rock by Arthur J. Rees, Fiction, Mystery & Detective, Action & Adventure, by Arthur J. Rees

This prompt is for books featuring an inheritance. The inheritance could play a main role in the story, or it could be a secondary plotline. It may feature a scene in which a lawyer reads out a will, a regency-era character who inherits his father’s title, or the word itself in the book’s title. The possibilities are vast and can include any type of inheritance: monetary or otherwise.
What is an inheritance? An inheritance is something that someone inherits upon the death of an individual. It could be property, titles, debts, cash, investments, etc. It’s any asset that is left to someone else when they die.
