Thoughts:
Book 1 of the Witch King's Crown trilogy. Blackbird Rising is a modern, urban telling of King Arthur's legend of the sword in the Stone. For hundreds of years, the Witch King’s sword has been buried in a stone hill awaiting the next "Witch King" to draw it. The De Montfort witches, a long line of witches, whose duty it is to protect the sword from ill intent. Gwen and her grandmother, Moscelyne routinely does protection spells to ensure no darkness can utilize the sword. However, they soon discover dark gateways that are being forced open by magic and demons are after the Witch King’s heirs.

Keri Arthur is an excellent storyteller, however for some reason this book took me far too long to finish. There was at lot of things that I would question, or want more information and details on. The lack of information that our heroine knew, or even didn't even bother to question, just doesn't rub me right. Certain things just didn't make sense period. There's action, mystery and love interest, it just fell flat for me.

Review
Rain and Dan are back and this time they are planning their wedding or rather their families are. Love these guys, Rain is getting used to his gift as a medium but a new mystery presents challenges and dangers that they have never encountered. A ghost who cannot speak, a missing person, body snatching, missing periods of time. It has it all. I really hope that the author writes more about this pair, I really have enjoyed the series so far.

Review
This has been on my TBR for quite some time and I really enjoyed it. On the passing of her Mother Mary goes to live with her aunt and uncle at Jamaica Inn. There are strange goings on at Jamaica inn that the locals fear. Mary soon finds herself embroiled in unraveling mystery of Jamaica inn and is torn between doing what is right and protecting her aunt. This author certainly knows how to tell a dark tale set in the bleak depths of the moors.

REVIEW:
3.5-4 stars. Good conclusion to the series. Mera starts the book off back with her old pack. When she returns to Shadow's world the action and drama pick up. Mera and Shadow's chemistry is off the pages. There were parts were the story dragged and parts were sex was just too much and didn't add to the story. Overall good story and setup for spin-off book so it's not the end for these characters.
