SOLVED. YA book, adventure, kind of creepy. Child wanders into massive and possibly magical marsh and meets a hag with herbs and medicines. Read it somewhere around 2014-2019. [s]

I can remember the setting of this book quite clearly. There was a family who live in a house on the edge of what I think was a cliff. There is a massively long road to either side of the house with nothing else on it. On the other side of the road is a scary marsh with tall grass where people go missing. The child who is the MC wanders into the marsh, I can't remember why but I think this was a dangerous thing to do. They meet a hag or witch person at the very least, who has medicines and herbs and stuff. I have no idea how the book ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I feel so close to figuring out what it's called

Mystery of the Witches' Bridge? A boy goes to live at his ancestral home in a marsh near the coast, and he does get lost in the marsh at one point and ends up at the house of an old hermit who gives him some salve for sunburn (made of plants that grow in the marsh). There is also a massively long road to the house with just the emptiness of the marshes on either side.
